Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert structural repairs, cosmetic refinishing, and precise assembly. Your expertise in automotive body repair, welding, fabrication, and detailing will ensure our customers receive top-quality service and exceptional results. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels. Utilize sheet metal fabrication skills to shape, cut, and assemble replacement panels or custom parts for vehicle restoration projects. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sanding, sanding tools usage, and automotive cosmetic repair to achieve a smooth finish. Apply auto painting techniques using airless paint spraying equipment and automotive body refinishing methods to deliver a flawless appearance. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including auto parts installation, detailing, and auto restoration projects to ensure vehicles meet quality standards. Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication repair techniques and automotive repair projects while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including welding repair, sheet metal work, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and automotive welding equipment. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and experience with auto restoration or automotive structural repair is advantageous. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and auto painting equipment for detailed work. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts installation. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to accurately estimate repairs using auto estimating software.
