Jaindl also prides itself as the largest independently owned and fully integrated turkey business in the world. Jaindl breeds, hatches, grows, processes and markets their own unique breed on 12,000 acres of family owned prime Lehigh Valley farmland. Job Overview Join our automotive team as an Auto Body Technician, where you will use your technical expertise to repair, reshape, and restore damaged vehicles. In this role, you will perform high-quality cosmetic and structural repairs—ranging from minor dent removal to complex frame realignment. Your attention to detail ensures that every vehicle leaves our shop meeting strict factory safety and quality standards. [, 3, 4, 5]Core Responsibilities Assess damage : Evaluate structural and cosmetic impacts to plan out the required materials and repair sequence. Disassemble vehicles : Carefully remove damaged panels, trim pieces, and interior components to access underlying structures. Straighten frames : Operate heavy frame machinery and alignment racks to pull and square twisted vehicle chassis back to OEM specifications. Repair panels : Utilize dent pullers, body fillers, and specialized hand tools to shape sheet metal and remove surface imperfections. Execute welding : Perform precise MIG welding and metal fabrication to install replacement structural parts and quarterly panels safely. Prepare for paint : Sand, prime, and smooth out surfaces to guarantee seamless transition to the paint department. Reassemble components : Reinstall auto glass, mechanical parts, trim, and bumpers while verifying strict alignment gap tolerances. [1, 3, 4, 6, 7] Requirements & Skills Proven experience : Usually 2 to 5+ years of dedicated professional collision repair experience is required. Tool proficiency : Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatic tools, welding equipment, hydraulic frame pullers, and measuring systems. Certifications preferred : Valid I-CAR or ASE certifications in structural and non-structural repair are highly desirable. Physical stamina : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably across a range of shop temperatures and physical angles.
