Description Coleman Auto Body and Auto Repair in Central City, PA is now hiring a full-time Auto Body Repair Technician. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, motivated individual who enjoys working with their hands and has an interest in automotive body repair. Training will be provided to help the successful candidate develop skills in auto-body repair, vehicle preparation, refinishing, and related shop operations. SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting with the repair and refinishing of automobiles using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment. The employees will work alongside experienced staff to complete vehicle repairs safely and according to shop procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Disassemble vehicles and remove trim, accessories, components, and damaged body panels as needed for repairs
  • Repair dents and damaged body areas using appropriate auto body tools and techniques
  • Apply body filler and grind, sand, shape, and smooth repaired surfaces
  • Remove damaged vehicle sections and fit and install replacement panels and body components
  • Fit and weld replacement parts and grind and finish repaired areas
  • Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, cleaning, masking, and protecting surrounding surfaces
  • Prime, paint, and refinish repaired vehicle surfaces using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Reassemble vehicles following repairs and check components for proper fit and alignment
  • Inspect completed repairs for finish quality, appearance, and proper operation
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and properly use tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance
