Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic collision repair team as a Mechanic Helper - Collision! In this energetic role, you will assist experienced collision repair technicians in restoring vehicles to their original condition after accidents or damage. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within the automotive repair industry, contributing to high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist collision repair technicians with various tasks including disassembly, cleaning, and preparation of damaged vehicles for repairs Support the setup and organization of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency on the shop floor Help with basic vehicle repairs under supervision, such as replacing parts or performing minor adjustments Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures Safely lift, support, and assist in moving vehicles within the shop to ensure proper positioning for repairs and inspections Learn to identify different types of vehicle damage and understand repair processes through hands-on experience Support inventory management by organizing parts and tools needed for ongoing repairs Perform undercar maintenance and repairs, including suspension work, exhaust system replacements, and four-wheel alignments Requirements Technical school training in automotive technology is a plus but not required Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and equipment Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality work and safety standards are met Willingness to work in a physically active environment, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy parts or tools Prior experience in automotive or collision repair is beneficial but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided If you're motivated, reliable, and ready to work, we'd love to hear from you.
