We are seeking an Automotive Body Technician (Prep Specialist) to join our team. This role is focused on all pre-paint body preparation , working alongside our fabrication and paint teams to ensure every vehicle meets HIMALAYA's standards before entering paint. This is a critical position in our production process and a great opportunity to be part of a growing company building some of the highest-quality custom vehicles in the industry. Key Responsibilities Perform all body prep work prior to paint , ensuring panels are straight, smooth, and paint-ready Sand, block, and finish body panels to a high standard Apply and shape body filler to eliminate imperfections Clean, degrease, and prepare surfaces for primer and paint Mask and protect components not being painted Assist with panel alignment and fitment during prep stages Strip and prep panels, doors, and components for refinishing Support reskinning of aluminum panels (prep and fitment side, not heavy fab) Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop processes Qualifications Experience in automotive body prep, sanding, and finishing preferred Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work efficiently in a production environment Familiarity with body shop tools, materials, and safety procedures Experience with aluminum panels is a plus What We're Looking For Someone who takes pride in perfect surfaces and clean lines Detail-oriented and consistent—understands that prep determines final quality Team player who works closely with fabrication and paint teams Motivated to grow within a high-end custom automotive environment About
