Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician, where your expertise in automotive structural repair and cosmetic restoration will bring vehicles back to their pre accident condition! In this energetic role, you will perform precise auto body repairs, welding and fabrication to ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication techniques. Utilize MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, soldering, and welding repair methods to restore vehicle frames and panels. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, bumpers, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Apply automotive repair skills for auto projects, including working with sheet metal and performing automotive structural repairs. Use automotive estimating skills to assess damage, prepare repair plans, and communicate effectively with production manager about repair processes. Maintain a safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols related to heavy lifting, tool handling, welding operations, and chemical use. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment operation. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair procedures, and automotive cosmetic repair standards. Familiarity with auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying and finishing tools such as sanding tools. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, parts installation, auto glass replacement, and general automotive repair. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments; attention to detail is essential for quality workmanship.
