Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for repair and refinishing by performing surface preparation, masking, and sanding to ensure optimal paint adhesion and a flawless finish. Your expertise will help set the foundation for high-quality auto body repairs, contributing to customer satisfaction and vehicle restoration excellence. Responsibilities Perform surface preparation tasks including sanding, grinding, and cleaning vehicle surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings Mask off areas using surface preparation masking techniques to protect non-painted surfaces during refinishing Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and airless paint sprayers with precision to achieve smooth finishes Assist with auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal, panel alignment, and auto glass replacement as needed Use conventional spraying methods and buffing techniques to achieve high-quality automotive finishes Follow safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection and proper handling of chemicals and equipment Support vehicle maintenance activities by assisting with detailing, auto restoration projects, and general mechanical tasks when required Experience Dealership experience or prior work in an automotive repair shop is highly preferred Hands-on experience with welding, grinding, buffing, and auto painting techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and customer service practices is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle prep and repair tasks Prior experience with auto restoration or mechanic work enhances your suitability for this role Join us in delivering top-tier auto body repairs by applying your skills in surface preparation, painting, and vehicle restoration.
