Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and become a vital part of restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and craftsmanship. In this role, you'll utilize your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body refinishing, and welding repair to deliver exceptional results. We are seeking energetic professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about automotive restoration, and are eager to contribute their skills to a collaborative team. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your craft while working on a variety of vehicle repairs, from minor cosmetic fixes to major structural overhauls. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and automotive cosmetic repairs using hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding repair tasks utilizing MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels. Fabricate custom parts or repair components through fabrication techniques involving sheet metal and fabrication repair methods. Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding surfaces with sanding tools and applying auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, and other components ensuring proper fitment and alignment. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage, determine repair scope, and document work for accurate job costing. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols when handling heavy lifting equipment, working with welding equipment, or using other power tools. Skills Experience or extensive background in automotive body repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto restoration processes, and automotive parts installation. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair equipment. Ability to perform automotive structural repairs with precision using sheet metal skills and auto body refinishing techniques.
