The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and estimating, with the ability to assess damages accurately and provide exceptional service to our clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive clear and comprehensive estimates for their vehicle repairs, contributing to a positive experience throughout the repair process. Duties Evaluate vehicle damage and prepare detailed estimates for repairs using industry-standard estimating software. Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process, costs, and timelines. Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate assessments of repair needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry trends. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions promptly. Assist in managing the workflow within the body shop to ensure timely completion of repairs. Conduct follow-ups with customers post-repair to ensure satisfaction and address any issues. Requirements Proven experience in auto estimating or a related field such as mechanic work or service writing. Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes, including shocks, struts, suspension systems, and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and trust with clients. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate estimations and documentation. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Previous sales experience is a plus, as it will aid in effectively communicating value to customers.
