Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bedliner Technician to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective bedliner coatings to trucks and commercial vehicles, ensuring durability and a professional finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive protective coatings, perform fabrication and repair tasks, and contribute to vehicle customization and restoration projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, eager to learn, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle beds by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion of bedliner coatings Apply spray-on bedliner materials using spraying equipment or hand tools with precision and consistency Perform fabrication repairs on vehicle beds, including sheet metal work, welding repair, and structural reinforcement using MIG welding and automotive welding equipment Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs such as sanding, auto body refinishing, and automotive dent repair to maintain vehicle aesthetics Install automotive parts such as auto glass, trim, or accessories as needed during the bedliner process Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and welding techniques to execute fabrication repair techniques effectively Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including auto painting, detailing, and auto restoration projects to meet quality standards Communicate job details with customers including receiving and delivering vehicles. Requirements Dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment operation a plus but not required Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication repair techniques and sheet metal work Familiarity with auto body repair processes including auto restoration and automotive cosmetic repair Experience with auto painting, auto refinishing, sanding tools, airless paint spraying, and detailing techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various power tools efficiently Knowledge of automotive parts installation and vehicle maintenance procedures Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety standards in the workshop Customer communication, timeliness, personal transportation, and consistency are a must.
