Job Summary We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Body Technician Trainees to join our automotive repair team. As a Body Technician Trainee, you will learn essential techniques in automotive structural repair, auto body refinishing, and welding, gaining valuable industry experience that prepares you for a successful career as a professional body technician. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about automotive craftsmanship and eager to grow their mechanical expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist with automotive body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using hand tools and power tools. Support welding repair tasks utilizing MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels. Learn fabrication repair techniques such as cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components for auto restoration projects. Participate in auto painting, sanding, detailing, and automotive cosmetic repairs to enhance vehicle appearance. Help with auto parts installation, auto glass replacement, and assembly tasks to ensure precise fitment and finish. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and use of airless paint spraying equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Gain experience in auto estimating processes and assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as directed by senior technicians. Skills Prior dealership or automotive shop experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive parts installation methods. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, and automotive structural components. Understanding of automotive cosmetic repair processes including auto painting and refinishing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate welding and fabrication equipment effectively.
