Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced automotive structural repair techniques, auto body repair skills, and fabrication expertise. Your work will ensure vehicles are safe, functional, and aesthetically appealing, providing exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize fabrication repair techniques to modify or create custom parts using sheet metal, power tools, and automotive welding equipment. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, auto painting, auto restoration, and automotive body refinishing to achieve high-quality finishes. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and attention to detail. Use sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and detailing tools to ensure a flawless appearance of repaired vehicles. Apply automotive structural repair methods to restore vehicle frames and bodies following manufacturer specifications. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, customer service inquiries, and vehicle inspection processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or collision center environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and structural components. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment. Experience with auto restoration projects or automotive cosmetic repair is preferred. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Valid experience with auto body repair processes including auto painting, auto parts installation, and auto glass replacement.
