Body Shop Technician

The Lindsay Auto Collision Center in Springfield has an immediate opportunity for an Auto Body Technician. This is a tremendous opportunity for the right person. The position offers excellent benefits and pay.

Auto Body Tech Job Description:

Repair vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards. May specialize in specific repairs such as glass replacement or bumper replacement. Checks part to ensure accuracy for ordered and received parts. Preps vehicles for body and/or repair and paint work. Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Work with other associates in cooperation to prepare and repair all customer vehicles as needed. Attend all required training sessions to learn and keep abreast of all federal, state, and local regulations and to maintain compliance of all laws and regulations.

Auto Body Tech Qualification:

Education / Experience

High school education and two year certificate from technical school in general body repair and six to twelve months related experience or training is preferred. We will train the right person that shows the desire to make this trade a career path.

Language Skills:

Applicant must have the ability to read and write in English. You must be able to write basic routine reports and complete forms as needed.

Computer:

Applicant must have a basic working knowledge of computers and be able to learn program to perform job duties.

Body Shop Technician Reasoning Ability:

Applicants must have the ability to reason and solve basic problems related to the body repair. You must be able to interpret instructions furnished in writing.

Physical Demands:

This position will require applicants to sit, bend, stoop, kneel down, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs or more.
