We are a busy, family-owned collision repair facility with a professional shop environment and a steady workload. We are not a large corporate chain. We value good work, accountability, and people who take pride in what they do. This position works closely with our painter and paint department to properly prepare vehicles and parts for refinishing. We are looking for someone who understands that good paint work starts with good preparation. Responsibilities Sand and prepare repaired panels for refinishing Mask vehicles and panels for paint Scuff and prep new and existing parts Prime and prepare panels as needed Properly clean panels before refinishing Assist with vehicle and parts preparation before entering the paint booth Help with unmasking and post-paint cleanup Identify preparation issues before vehicles are painted Maintain a clean and organized paint and prep area Keep tools, equipment, hoses, cords, and materials organized Assist the painter as needed to keep production moving Follow proper safety procedures and use required PPE Maintain quality standards throughout the preparation process What We're Looking For Previous automotive paint prep or collision repair experience preferred Good understanding of sanding, masking, surface preparation, and refinishing procedures Attention to detail and ability to recognize imperfections before paint Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Dependable attendance and ability to show up on time Willingness to work as part of a team Ability to take direction and communicate with the painter and production team Someone who takes ownership of their work and keeps their work area clean We are looking for someone who wants to become part of a good team and take pride in putting out quality repairs. Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday If you have automotive paint prep experience and are looking for a shop where quality work is recognized and you can become part of a long-term team, we would like to hear from you.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
