You will utilize your expertise in bodywork and alignment to deliver high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer and industry standards. Pay range is $25.00 to $35.00 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assess vehicle damage and prepare repair plans in collaboration with estimators. Perform structural and non-structural repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and alignment. Sand, grind, and prime surfaces in preparation for refinishing. Reassemble vehicles, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function of all components. Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including frame straightening machines and MIG welders. Collaborate with the paint team to ensure seamless transitions between repair and refinishing stages. Conduct post-repair quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and aesthetic standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Stay updated on industry best practices, manufacturer guidelines, and new repair techniques. Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations in the workplace.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in auto body repair preferred. 3+ years of experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role. Proficiency in collision repair techniques, including structural and non-structural repairs. Familiarity with repair equipment, tools, and manufacturer repair guidelines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record. I-CAR certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
