Job Description
Experienced Automotive Painter Position Open Immediately Are you looking for a rewarding auto body career? Would you like to work in a newly renovated shop featuring a state of the art paint booth and prep stations? Picasso Automotive Paint Specialists is the place for you! We are looking for experienced autobody painters to join our busy, growing shop, conveniently located near both Highway 164/59 and I-94 in Waukesha. Our lead painter is about to retire and we are looking for additional help. Job Duties As an auto body painter, you must have a good driving record and will be responsible for a variety of activities, including: Removing rust and other debris from surfaces to be painted Filling cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface Masking or taping off details and components to avoid contamination Selecting the proper colors and substances for the project Using paint sprayers and brushes to apply paint to a vehicle Determining the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat Checking for runs or sags in the paint to ensure a quality product. Maintaining tidy and safe workspace Completing other duties as assigned Since Picasso is a small business (about 20-30 employees), you will get hands-on experience working independently, have continuous opportunities for new projects, and have the ability to communicate with our owners about your goals and expectations for job growth. Background check and driving license check is required. Pay is negotiable to start based on piecework so that you can easily earn more than 8 hours of pay a day by being thorough and efficient.
