Job Overview Join our dynamic auto body team as an Auto Body Helper and be a vital part of transforming damaged vehicles into like-new masterpieces! As an Auto Body Helper, you will assist skilled technicians with a variety of tasks that keep the repair process moving smoothly, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Assist with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, and preparation for repairs using hand tools and power tools. Support auto body technicians in performing sheet metal work, welding (including MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication tasks to restore vehicle structures. Help with auto painting processes such as sanding, masking, and airless paint spraying to achieve a flawless finish. Handle heavy lifting and moving of parts or vehicles safely to maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Support the installation of auto glass and perform minor auto body repairs under supervision. Assist with vehicle detailing, minor mechanical repairs, and general vehicle maintenance tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous dealership experience or background in automotive repair is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of auto body repair techniques including sheet metal work, welding (MIG welding), soldering, and auto painting. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment such as airless paint sprayers. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, assembly, and auto restoration processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support customer service efforts when necessary. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
