This role builds and outfits commercial vans and light trucks with interior systems, lighting, and aftermarket equipment. The position pays $19.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and runs Monday to Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:30 AM, with occasional Saturdays. Work takes place in an outside open-air shop and calls for steady hands, clear communication, and a safety-first mindset.
The Day-to-Day:
Install shelving, partitions, lighting, and 12-volt electrical systems in commercial van interiors. Fit aftermarket equipment, including winches, backup cameras, and ladder racks. Interpret technical drawings/schematics; cut, drill, and fasten materials with hand and power tools. Troubleshoot wiring or mechanical issues and complete repairs as needed. Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality, on-time installations while upholding safety standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; trade/vocational training in carpentry, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred. Practical experience in carpentry, electrical, or mechanical work, including 12-volt wiring, diagnosis, and repair. Proficiency with common hand and power tools and confidence in reading technical drawings and schematics. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear, professional communication with colleagues and customers. Comfortable working independently or with a crew in an outdoor shop for extended periods; able to safely lift 50 lbs. Personal tool set required. Prior vehicle upfitting or related field experience is a plus.
Pay Rate:
$19.00 to $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM (sometimes on Saturday)
