Job Description

About AccuTune Off-Road & Ride Shocks Founded in 2015, AccuTune Off-Road was built on a simple idea: provide the highest quality suspension products, backed by unmatched technical knowledge and customer service. We specialize in premium off-road suspension systems for Toyota, Jeep, Ford, Chevy, and Ram trucks and SUVs, combining industry-leading products with custom shock tuning to deliver exceptional ride quality and performance. Building on that foundation, we launched Ride Shocks—our own line of premium shock absorbers and suspension components designed from the ground up to raise the standard for the off-road industry. As we continue to grow, we're expanding beyond product sales to offer professional installation services that match the quality and attention to detail our customers expect from the AccuTune name. How You Can Help Us Grow We're looking for someone to help build the installation department the right way. Initially, you'll perform suspension installations, alignments, troubleshooting, and quality inspections while helping us develop the processes, standards, and work instructions that will allow the department to scale efficiently. As demand grows, you'll play an important role in expanding installation services into a dedicated facility and helping establish one of the most respected off-road installation shops in Southern California. This is an opportunity to help build something from the ground up. About You The ideal candidate is an offroad enthusiast who spends their weekends in the garage or on the trail. You have experience installing suspension and understand why ride quality matters. You care equally about doing high quality work and completing the job on time. If you want to work for a company that values engineering, quality, and continuous improvement—and gives you the opportunity to help build something new—we'd love to meet you. What Does Success Look Like? Success in this role means becoming a trusted technical expert who consistently delivers high-quality work with minimal supervision. You take pride in doing things correctly the first time, communicate well with both customers and coworkers, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where everyone helps each other succeed. You're comfortable installing suspension systems, shocks, springs, control arms, bumpers, lighting, and other common off-road upgrades while performing alignments and diagnosing installation-related issues. Prior experience rebuilding or servicing shocks isn't required—we'll teach you that. What matters most is that you're experienced, process-oriented and always looking for ways to improve. Benefits & Career Advancement AccuTune Off-Road offers the stability of an established company with the opportunity to help shape its future. We've been serving the off-road community since 2015 and continue to grow through innovation, engineering, and exceptional customer service. We provide competitive compensation, a 3% company 401(k) contribution, 90% company-paid health insurance, 50% paid dental insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, and a team-oriented culture that values doing it right. As the installation department expands, this role offers a clear path toward leadership, giving the right person the opportunity to help build, manage, and grow the team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install premium off-road suspension systems including coilovers, shocks, leaf springs, upper control arms, lower control arms, link arms, bump stops, steering components, and related accessories. Install common off-road upgrades including bumpers, winches, skid plates, rock sliders, lighting, compressors, air systems, and electrical accessories. Perform ride height adjustments, suspension setup, and vehicle inspections to ensure proper fitment and performance. Perform wheel alignments and suspension geometry adjustments to AccuTune standards. Diagnose and resolve installation issues, unusual noises, vibration concerns, and fitment challenges. Test drive completed vehicles to verify ride quality, handling, and overall customer satisfaction. Follow detailed work instructions, torque specifications, and quality control procedures to ensure consistent, repeatable results. Document installation notes, measurements, alignment specifications, and any issues discovered during service. Communicate effectively with the sales and engineering teams regarding vehicle condition, customer requests, and technical challenges. Assist with inspection, assembly, and servicing of Ride Shocks products. Prior shock service experience is not required—we will provide training. Help develop and improve installation procedures, work instructions, shop layout, tooling, and processes to increase efficiency and maintain exceptional quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly caring for company tools and equipment. Support product development by providing feedback on installation procedures, product fitment, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Deliver a professional customer experience by treating every vehicle with care and representing the AccuTune Off-Road brand with pride. Provide install and test fit assistance for R&D and marketing as time allows.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive or off-road suspension installation experience. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision. Experience installing aftermarket suspension systems including coilovers, shocks, lift springs, upper control arms, lower control arms, steering components, and related suspension products. Experience installing common off-road accessories such as bumpers, winches, skid plates, lighting, compressors, and recovery equipment is preferred. Understanding of ride height adjustment, and vehicle alignment principles. Alignment experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to diagnose installation issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions. Familiarity with commonly modified off-road platforms including Toyota, Jeep, Ford, Chevy, and Ram trucks and SUVs. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship and following established processes. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new products, procedures, and technologies. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate customer vehicles. Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform work requiring standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting throughout the day. Must provide and maintain a complete set of professional automotive hand tools required to perform the duties of the position.
