Job Description

INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
$18 per hour The Installation Technician is responsible for installing, modifying, upgrading, and maintaining equipment and accessories on vans, commercial vehicles, and other specialty vehicles. This position requires strong mechanical and technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely use hand and power tools. The technician will work from installation instructions, diagrams, work orders, and customer specifications to complete quality installations and vehicle modifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install and modify equipment, components, and accessories on vans, trucks, and other vehicles. Perform vehicle modifications based on work orders, specifications, and customer requirements. Remove, replace, relocate, and upgrade existing vehicle components as needed. Install items such as shelving, partitions, ramps, steps, flooring, seating, storage systems, lighting, and other vehicle equipment. Perform basic electrical installations, including wiring, switches, outlets, lights, and other electrical components. Safely use hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, measuring equipment, and other shop equipment. Read and interpret installation instructions, diagrams, drawings, and work orders. Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and fabricate materials as needed to complete installations. Inspect completed work to ensure equipment is secure, functional, and properly installed. Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Protect vehicle interiors and exteriors from damage during installation and modification work. Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or additional work needed. Follow all company safety policies, vehicle manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulations. Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how vehicle components work together. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Experience in any of the following areas is a plus but not required : Vehicle upfitting or fleet vehicle modifications Automotive repair or installation Van and truck customization 12-volt electrical systems Carpentry or fabrication Mobility/accessibility equipment installation Shelving, storage, or commercial vehicle equipment installation Welding or metal fabrication If you feel you are a good fit for this position, please apply through the link provided.
