Job Description

As a two-way radio technician, your primary job is to program, install, troubleshoot, maintain, remove, and service two-way mobile radios, repeaters, speakers, lights, sirens, center consoles, antennas, other accessories, and all necessary wiring into customer vehicles. These vehicles include everything from police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances, public works plow trucks, school buses, tow trucks and an array of other commercial vehicles.
You must have:
Strong foundation and understanding of technology Understanding of Ohms law and basic low voltage electrical work Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in a systematic approach Knowledge of RF spectrum and antenna propagation theory Ability to follow a Scope of Work, rack diagrams, wiring diagrams, and system drawings Telecommunication experience is necessary for this position and special consideration will be given to those with: Technical training and certifications (OSHA, R56, Motorola, Kenwood, Harris, etc.) Related military experience/MOS training Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree EVT Certification We offer paid PTO, health insurance, retirement, paid training, etc. We have been under the same ownership since 1976.
