Job Description
Safelite is seeking an Auto Glass Installation Technician to join our Automotive team. In this hands-on role, you'll repair and replace windshields and auto glass using industry-leading tools and safety-focused techniques, both in-shop and through mobile service. You'll perform inspections, ensure precise, leak-free installations, and deliver friendly, professional customer service. Responsibilities Perform safe, accurate auto glass repair and replacement on a variety of vehicles (windshields, side and rear glass). Use proper tools, adhesives, and calibration techniques following Safelite and industry safety standards. Conduct vehicle pre-inspections and post-installation checks to ensure quality workmanship and customer safety. Provide exceptional, courteous customer service in-shop and at mobile locations, explaining work performed and care instructions. Maintain clean, organized workspaces, company vehicles, and equipment, ensuring tools are in good working order. Document services performed in company systems, including parts used, labor time, and customer signatures. Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of PPE during installations and repairs. Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet daily schedules and service quality goals. Participate in ongoing training to stay current on new glass technologies, ADAS systems, and installation best practices. Assist with inventory management, including receiving, inspecting, and storing glass and materials.
