Responsibilities Remove and replace auto glass with precision, ensuring proper fit and seal integrity using manual cutting tools and power tools. Repair automotive glass damage, including chips and cracks, utilizing specialized techniques for optimal results. Handle glass materials safely, including heavy lifting and proper storage to prevent damage or injury. Operate company vehicles to transport vehicles safely within the shop or to external locations. Use automotive glass estimating software to assess damage, determine repair options, and prepare accurate work orders. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to glass installation, including fitting new glass and ensuring proper alignment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to power tool safety standards while using hand tools and power tools effectively. Assist with additional auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal or detailing when needed. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. Support other team members with tasks like window tinting, assembly of glass components, or vehicle detailing as required. Experience Prior dealership experience or background working in automotive service centers is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with automotive glass repair and replacement techniques, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration when applicable. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, with proficiency in handling hand tools and power tools safely. Familiarity with auto estimating software and auto body repair processes is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during glass handling or vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
