Overview Join our dynamic team as a Windshield Replacement Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional automotive glass services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for expertly replacing and repairing windshields and other automotive glass components, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and passion for auto care will drive your success as you work with a variety of vehicles, from everyday cars to specialty models. Duties Remove damaged or broken windshields and automotive glass using manual cutting tools and power tools with precision and safety. Install new auto glass, ensuring proper fitment, sealing, and alignment according to manufacturer specifications. Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, shaping, and fitting glass components for various vehicle makes and models. Utilize advanced techniques such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration to ensure optimal vehicle safety features post-installation. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and vehicles requiring service or repair. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to auto body repair and ensure all work meets quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to power tool safety protocols and handling glass materials responsibly. Assist with additional services such as window tinting, detailing, or minor auto body repairs as needed. Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. Experience Prior dealership experience or hands-on work in auto glass replacement is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive glass repair, fitting glass installation, and heavy lifting techniques is essential. Familiarity with ADAS calibration processes and auto estimating software is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools ensures efficient work performance. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures related to auto body repair enhances your versatility in this role. Ability to handle glass materials safely while managing the physical demands of heavy lifting is required.
