Job Summary:

Bert Ogden Auto Group is seeking an experienced Windshield Installer to join our team. The Windshield Installer will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing and installing automotive windshields and other vehicle glass while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Remove damaged windshields and automotive glass safely and efficiently.

Install replacement windshields and other vehicle glass according to manufacturer specifications.

Inspect glass and installation areas for damage, defects, or potential issues.

Apply adhesives, primers, and sealants properly to ensure a secure and weatherproof installation.

Prepare vehicles for glass installation and protect vehicle interiors and exterior surfaces from damage.

Perform quality inspections after each installation to ensure proper fit, alignment, and seal.

Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.

Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Provide professional and courteous service to customers and dealership staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

6-12 months of experience in automotive windshield or glass installation required.

Knowledge of automotive glass installation procedures and techniques.

Ability to safely operate hand tools and glass installation equipment.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Valid drivers license preferred/required, depending on employer requirements.

Ability to lift, carry, and handle automotive glass and related equipment.

Work Environment:

Dealership and automotive service environment.

May require standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and working around vehicles for extended periods.

Must be able to follow all workplace and safety regulations.

Experience Required:

6-12 months of windshield or automotive glass installation experience.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
