Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing auto glass with precision and care. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle systems, mechanical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous dealership experience, knowledge of ADAS systems, and proficiency with hand and power tools are highly desirable. The Auto Glass Technician plays a vital role in ensuring customer safety and satisfaction through expert glass installation and vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities Remove and replace auto glass using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring proper fit and seal. Perform glass repairs on chips or cracks to restore vehicle safety standards. Install advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) sensors during windshield replacement to maintain vehicle functionality. Apply window tinting films as requested, ensuring clean, professional finishes. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional mechanical or body repair needs. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations accurately. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or assembly as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Document work performed accurately for auto estimating purposes and customer records. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in automotive repair preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in auto body repair, glass installation, and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with ADAS calibration and integration during windshield replacements is a plus. Experience with window tinting, auto estimating, and the use of hand tools and power tools required. Ability to lift heavy glass panels safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, including mechanic experience is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
