Duties Remove and replace auto glass using manual cutting tools, power tools, and specialized fitting techniques to ensure precise installation. Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles to assess existing damage, identify potential issues such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration needs, and verify the integrity of glass components. Handle glass materials safely, including heavy lifting and proper storage of automotive glass and related materials. Perform automotive glass repairs when possible, utilizing industry-standard techniques to restore vehicle safety features. Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site or mobile service appointments, maintaining proper documentation of work performed. Assist with auto body repair tasks such as fitting new glass and ensuring seamless integration with vehicle bodywork. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to power tool safety protocols, and ensuring all tools are properly stored after use. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process. Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive glass replacement and repair. Valid Virginia Inspection License for automotive inspection or willingness to obtain one upon hire. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely. Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and the integration of advanced driver assistance systems is preferred. Knowledge of automotive glass materials handling, fitting glass installation techniques, and auto body repair processes. Ability to perform manual glass cutting accurately and efficiently for custom fitments. Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as window tinting, detailing, and general auto repair is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
