We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in various shop environments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are operating safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Duties Perform thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, and alignment. Repair and replace components such as transmissions, powertrains, shocks & struts, and suspension systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Work with automotive electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and diesel engine repair. Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and perform complex repairs. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and tools. Experience in welding is a plus. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of GM vehicles is advantageous but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver's license is required. A valid ASE certification is required. $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
