Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various types of trailers, mostly aluminum horse trailers. This role requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including tire service and brake repair. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues. MIG weld steel and aluminum, along with fabricating custom parts. Operate heavy equipment and forklifts safely while moving trailers or parts as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Some slight interior carpernter skills for interior repairs. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Skills Proficient in trailer repair operations. Strong mechanical skills with experience in dealership environments preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for trailer repairs. Knowledge of tire service, brake repair, and general trailer maintenance techniques. Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage in mechanical tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
