Responsibilities The Fleet Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining fleet equipment and ensuring that all over-the-road equipment is legal, safe and road worthy. The Fleet Maintenance Technician must track all jobs and labor hours utilizing a work order system and must effectively operate within the Fleet R&M budget and optimize performance. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. The Fleet Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Fleet Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment Manage and properly maintain all vehicle maintenance records and files Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Plant Manager Monitor and repair reported issues Practice proper forklift operation Equipment/trailer repairs Maintain Fleet Maintenance Shop housekeeping Ensure PM schedule compliance Maintain and build job skills through company and outside training programs Manage operating supplies (availability & cost) Manage & maintain fleet work order system Schedule and monitor outside vendor work Manage tire program (condition & performance) Manage R&M costs (fleet & forklift) Minor engine repairs Accountability for all department man-hours Forklift repair and preventive maintenance Understand and practice

Educational Requirements:

ASE Certification Preferred Experience:

Physical Requirements:
