Overview We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to help maintain our company trucks and equipment. Experience with diesel and gas equipment, pumps, pressure washers, heavy trucks, vacuum trucks, and pickup trucks is preferred. This position will focus mainly on troubleshooting, minor repairs, specialty equipment repairs, and coordinating larger repairs and routine maintenance with outside shops. We're looking for someone who can work independently, stay organized, and help keep our fleet and equipment in good working order. Pay depends on experience. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, automotive electrical systems diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles and equipment Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with a background in heavy truck repair and industrial equipment is highly desirable Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems repair—including diesel engines—and electrical systems Understanding of hydraulics, HVAC systems in vehicles/equipment, and suspension systems Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship
