SYNOPSIS
Assist with the support of maintaining the fleet of vehicles owned by AIDT & Department of Commerce. Ensure that all vehicles are clean and running properly. Ensure that all vehicle inspections are performed, as required. Ensure that maintenance and preventative maintenance records are kept up to date on all vehicles. Perform other duties as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain electronic records of vehicle parts purchased, and service performed with Excel. Maintain a neat & clean vehicle wash station area Perform Wash, Detail, and Wax vehicles when needed or requested Perform Quick Service such as oil changes, fluid checks, check belts & hoses, tire wear and pressure, brake inspection, wiper blades, lights bulbs, fuses and replace batteries on vehicles. Skillful in Coordinating & Scheduling of Vehicles for routine maintenance with a backup transportation plan ready. Capable of assisting with roadside services Maintain a neat and clean work environment. Capable of helping Property Management with Loading and Unloading Inventory Items or Surplus Disposal Duties if needed by utilizing AIDT's Enclosed Trailers to transport equipment to and from training facilities. All other duties as assigned
Work Habits:
Complies with all policies and procedures as set out in the AIDT Policy Manual. Plans daily/weekly work schedule. Maintains housekeeping to organizational standards. Interacts professionally with coworkers, general public and others as required. Complies with AIDT policy regarding attendance. (Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a constant state of awareness. Skill in inventory control processes and principles. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate material handling equipment. Skill in inventory problem solving and follow-up techniques. Ability to interact professionally with company representatives, public officials, trainees, coworkers and the general public. Ability to set and meet deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently. Ability to follow established laws, policies and procedures. Ability to function in an automated work environment. Ability to function in a team-based environment. Ability to coordinate and operate AIDT equipment in order to accomplish work activities.
