Job Description

BamaRV is looking to hire experienced candidates to join our RV Technician Team . If you have RV experience that includes diagnosing and repairing RVs, campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, or have a strong background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, automotive, marine, construction, or mechanical repair, we'd love to talk with you. Position Summary The RV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining all major systems and components found in recreational vehicles, including travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, Class A motorhomes, Class B camper vans, and Class C motorhomes. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a wide variety of repairs including electrical, plumbing, appliance, structural, and accessory installations. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair RV electrical, plumbing, structural, and mechanical systems Service and repair travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and motorhomes Troubleshoot and repair 12-volt DC electrical systems Diagnose and repair 110-volt AC electrical systems Locate and repair wiring faults, shorts, and electrical failures Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, water pumps, fixtures, tanks, and water leaks Repair propane systems and gas lines Perform roof inspections, leak diagnosis, and water intrusion repairs Repair slide-out systems, leveling systems, awnings, steps, and exterior components Service RV appliances including refrigerators, furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, and ranges Complete accessory installations and customer upgrades Perform cabinetry, carpentry, flooring, and interior repairs Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and repair instructions Conduct quality control inspections and operational testing upon completion of repairs Safely operate company vehicles and transport trailers as needed Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records Communicate professionally with customers and team members Preferred Skills & Experience Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following: RV Technician or RV Service Technician (camper, travel trailer, fifth wheel, or motorhome) experience Sign-on bonus available based on RV experience Electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting 12V electrical systems 110V electrical systems Plumbing diagnosis and repair Propane system diagnosis and repair Appliance installation and repair Carpentry and woodworking Comparable Industry Experience Ideal industry crossover experience include: Construction trades Mobile Home fabrication and repair Apartment/Home Maintenance and repair Automotive technician experience Marine technician experience Diesel technician experience Equipment maintenance and repair Welding or fabrication experience Mechanical troubleshooting Parts installation and upgrades Leak detection and repair Requirements Minimum 3-year hands-on technical/mechanical experience preferred Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work 40+ hours per week Ability to work weekends (Saturday only) Ability to lift and maneuver up to 100 pounds Ability to climb ladders and negotiate scaffolding Ability to understand and utilize basic hand tools Forklift experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour (non-flat rate) based on experience, certifications, and skill level Monthly performance bonus program Paid vacation Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Employee discounts Ongoing manufacturer and industry training Career advancement opportunities Why Bama RV?
