What You'll Do As an Automotive Technician at Merchant Honda, you will: Perform factory-scheduled maintenance and repairs according to Honda standards. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns. Perform accurate inspections and identify necessary repairs. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Utilize Honda diagnostic equipment, service information, and factory repair procedures. Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly. Test-drive vehicles when necessary to verify concerns and repairs. Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work as part of a team to meet department goals and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Participate in ongoing Honda and technical training. Stay current with evolving automotive technology and repair procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic and repair work. Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures. What We're Looking For We're looking for a technician who takes pride in their work and wants to build a career—not simply punch a clock. Technical Expertise Previous professional automotive technician experience preferred. Strong diagnostic and repair skills. Ability to accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns. Ability to follow manufacturer repair procedures and specifications. Honda/Acura experience is a strong plus. ASE certification is preferred. Senior Master Certification is highly valued. Quality Mindset You believe in fixing it right the first time .
