Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Mechanic Assistant, where your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will help drive exceptional vehicle service and repair experiences. In this energetic role, you will support skilled technicians by preparing vehicles, assisting with repairs, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your automotive knowledge while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to quality service. Duties Assist experienced mechanics with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks across various systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components. Prepare vehicles for service by performing basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs. Use hand tools and power tools safely to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts according to schematics and technical specifications. Support the inspection process by checking alignment, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and other critical components to ensure safety and performance standards are met. Help maintain shop organization by cleaning work areas, properly storing tools, and managing parts inventory. Learn to interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to assist with complex repairs. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by providing updates on repair progress and ensuring fleet vehicles are handled with care. Qualifications Prior dealership or automotive repair shop experience is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, powertrain systems, and auto electrical systems. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery. Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
