Job Description
The Automotive Mechanic is an integral part of a keeping vehicles and equipment in top notch condition. You'll be given the opportunity to hone your skills and practice techniques that will be with you for life as well as demonstrating the skills you have already mastered. This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily include vehicles, farm equipment, general construction equipment and tools. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair basic automotive including basic engine maintenance, brakes, suspensions, cooling and electrical Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters Install and perform tire maintenance Install batteries, shock absorbers, exhaust systems and check electrical systems Road test vehicles Build skills by working on a variety of makes, models & equipment. Construction, Farm and Automotive.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years experience in automotive service industry preferred Knowledge/Skills needed: Knowledge of troubleshooting fundamentals May need to provide mechanic's tools of trade- Most provided Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Minimum Qualifications Reading and writing Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to company vehicles CDL preferred but not required Clean driving record and valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check and work in a drug-free workplace Ability to work at least 40 hours per week Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceWork Location:
