Automotive Service Technician - Chevrolet/GMC Joe Bullard Chevrolet GMC | Thomasville, Alabama Join a Team That's Growing Joe Bullard Automotive has been serving the Gulf Coast since 1955. Today, our third-generation family-owned company operates seven dealerships and two collision centers, with a reputation built on taking care of our customers, developing our people, and doing business the right way. We recently acquired the Chevrolet/GMC dealership in Thomasville, Alabama , and we're building a strong team for the future. We are looking for Automotive Service Technicians who take pride in their work, want to be part of a great culture, and are looking for an opportunity to grow with an established automotive organization. If you are an experienced technician — whether your background is with Chevrolet, GMC, another domestic brand, or an independent repair facility — we want to talk with you. What You'll Do As an Automotive Service Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles while delivering the quality of work our customers expect from Joe Bullard Automotive.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, HVAC, brake, suspension, steering, and other vehicle concerns Perform repairs and maintenance accurately and efficiently Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs or maintenance Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, technical information, and manufacturer resources to troubleshoot vehicle concerns Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnosis, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times Perform quality checks to ensure repairs are completed the first time correctly Properly document repairs and services performed Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership processes Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area Participate in ongoing training and development as vehicle technology continues to evolve Work as part of a team focused on taking exceptional care of our customers What We're Looking For We are looking for technicians who are: Experienced in automotive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair Dependable and take pride in the quality of their work Able to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts Comfortable working with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology Organized and able to manage multiple repair assignments Team-oriented and willing to communicate with technicians, advisors, and management Committed to continued learning and professional development Focused on doing the job correctly and taking care of the customer Minimum Requirements Automotive repair or technician experience Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate customer vehicles Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with automotive repair work Own basic automotive technician tools appropriate for your experience level Preferred, But Not Required Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, or other General Motors experience GM manufacturer training or certifications ASE certifications Experience with advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics Diesel experience Hybrid or electric vehicle experience GM experience is a plus, but it is not required.
