Job Summary The Automotive Master Technician at Gear Grinders Garage is a highly skilled ASE Certified professional responsible for accurately diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, Asian, and European vehicles while upholding the highest standards of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship. This individual demonstrates advanced diagnostic expertise, exceptional mechanical ability, and a commitment to continuous learning, communicating effectively with the service team, and approaching every repair with professionalism and accountability. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems. Repair and overhaul powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, with precision and efficiency. Conduct complex repairs on automotive electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), sensors, and wiring harnesses. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure vehicle safety and longevity. Apply welding techniques and use power tools to repair or replace damaged body parts or structural components when necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is highly desirable. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and using diagnostic software tools. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines. Ability to perform general automotive service tasks efficiently. Mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service. $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
