Responsibilities Perform wheel repairs including straightening and surface refinishing to restore wheels to factory specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, grinders, and auto body repair equipment to prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques. Conduct automotive buffing, polishing, and painting using spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spraying methods to achieve a flawless finish. Apply automotive surface preparation procedures such as masking, sanding, and coating to ensure durable finishes. Use automotive buffing machines and auto restoration techniques to enhance wheel appearance and remove imperfections. Follow safety protocols including proper use of respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment during all repair processes. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction with finished work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards related to heavy lifting, grinding, welding, and painting operations. Experience Prior dealership experience or hands-on work in an automotive repair shop is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or auto restoration is advantageous. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and spray guns is essential. Experience with surface preparation masking, sanding techniques, and automotive coating applications is desirable. Knowledge of automotive buffing, detailing, and the use of airless paint spraying equipment will set you apart. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating processes enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive service. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
