Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and diagnostics, utilizing automotive repair knowledge and diagnostic tools Prepare detailed service estimates using estimating software, clearly explaining repair options and costs to customers Upsell additional services or repairs that enhance vehicle safety, performance, or longevity while respecting customer budgets Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services Maintain accurate service writing records, including work orders, repair histories, and client communication logs Manage cash handling procedures and process payments efficiently at the point of sale Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status updates, recommended services, and follow-up care Assist in promoting dealership services through proactive sales techniques and excellent customer engagement Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, industry standards, and dealership promotions Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership environment Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or in automotive diagnostics Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, tire service, diesel engines, collision repair, oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience preferred Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
