Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct vehicle inspections, alignments, wheel balancing, and suspension system repairs to ensure optimal handling and safety. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems on diverse vehicle makes, including GM vehicles. Perform diesel engine repairs and service vehicle transmission systems with precision. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers. Requirements Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including powertrain, transmission, suspension system repair, and alignment procedures. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems such as ADAS technology, automotive wiring diagrams, diesel engines, and welding techniques. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and the use of diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively.
