Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energetic role, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing complex automotive issues, performing essential repairs, and ensuring our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will help keep our fleet running smoothly while providing top-notch customer service. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, utilizing your technical prowess and passion for automotive repair. Responsibilities Diagnose automotive issues using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify problems accurately. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Repair or replace critical components including transmissions, powertrain parts, shocks & struts, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and auto body repairs when necessary to restore vehicle safety features. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle systems following manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimating reports, and communicate repair progress clearly to customers. Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as air brake systems and welding procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, auto estimating software, and GM vehicle specifications. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools effectively. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally. Mechanical knowledge of suspension systems, alignment procedures, tire service including shocks & struts replacement, and auto body repair techniques. $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
