This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with advanced machinery, perform complex repairs, and ensure the safety and efficiency of our customers. As a key player in our maintenance operation, you'll utilize your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize trailer systems, contributing directly to our operational success. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, suspensions, axles, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and transmissions using schematics and technical manuals Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and trailer inspections to ensure safety compliance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspection reports for compliance and future reference. Assist with service technician duties including customer service interactions when providing repair updates or explaining maintenance needs. Experience Proven experience working as a heavy truck or trailer mechanic. Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues on trailers or heavy equipment. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for trailer maintenance and repairs. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs and perform detailed inspections to identify potential issues early on.
