We are looking for an experienced Automotive Locksmith & Electrical Specialist to join our team and help expand our automotive services. Position Overview We are looking for someone with strong hands-on automotive electrical and diagnostic experience who is comfortable working with modern vehicles, wiring systems, modules, connectors, and automotive key/immobilizer systems. This position is ideal for someone who understands that automotive locksmith work involves much more than cutting and programming keys. You should be comfortable diagnosing electrical issues, repairing wiring, working with connectors, and troubleshooting vehicle systems. Responsibilities Perform automotive locksmith services including key generation, key cutting, programming, and immobilizer-related services Diagnose and repair automotive electrical and wiring issues Perform professional wire repairs using butt connectors, crimping, heat-shrink, and other appropriate automotive repair methods Repair damaged, cut, corroded, or improperly connected wiring Diagnose circuits using a multimeter and other electrical diagnostic equipment Identify wiring faults and trace circuits Work with automotive connectors, terminals, harnesses, and modules Perform automotive module and electrical component installation/replacement Use automotive diagnostic and programming equipment Program keys, remotes, and immobilizer systems Work with OEM and aftermarket automotive systems Properly disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors when necessary Maintain clean, professional workmanship and protect customer vehicles Document completed work and parts used Communicate professionally with customers Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle Required Qualifications You MUST have professional automotive electrical repair experience. We are specifically looking for someone who can confidently: Diagnose automotive electrical problems Read and understand automotive wiring diagrams Test circuits with a multimeter Repair automotive wiring and harnesses Properly use butt connectors and crimp connections Use heat-shrink and perform professional wire repairs Identify power, ground, signal, and communication circuits Work with automotive connectors and terminals Troubleshoot electrical issues rather than simply replacing parts Safely work around vehicle electrical systems Automotive Locksmith Experience Automotive locksmith experience is strongly preferred , particularly experience with: Key cutting Key programming Immobilizer systems BCM/ECU-related systems Smart keys/proximity keys Remote programming All-keys-lost situations Automotive diagnostic equipment OEM programming procedures Experience with equipment such as Autel, Smart Pro, OBDStar, J2534, or similar automotive programming tools is a plus. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with advanced automotive electrical diagnostic skills, extensive locksmith experience, and proficiency with multiple automotive programming platforms.
