In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Whether working on gasoline engines, diesel systems, or advanced automotive electrical components, your skills will keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace auto body parts when necessary, ensuring vehicles meet quality standards and customer expectations. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision while adhering to safety protocols. Work with dealership-specific systems like auto estimating software to assess repairs and communicate effectively with customers about service needs. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and automotive electrical systems. Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle components including transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, alignment, and auto body repairs. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools effectively. Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating capabilities to provide transparent communication about repairs.
