In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills will drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will manage service orders, provide accurate auto estimates, and promote additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including those requiring complex repairs such as transmissions, diesel engines, and suspension systems. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and outlining recommended services Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, shocks & struts, and air brake systems Manage service orders accurately using automotive service management software Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records Communicate effectively with customers throughout the repair process, updating them on progress and additional recommendations Assist with vehicle inspections utilizing automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately Promote automobile sales by advising customers on vehicle features and maintenance plans when appropriate Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, diesel engine repair, suspension systems, tire services, and more Experience Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer is highly preferred Strong background in auto service management with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems Hands-on mechanic experience or understanding of automotive repair processes is a significant advantage Knowledge of auto estimating software and sales techniques to maximize upselling opportunities Experience working with a wide range of vehicle systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and tire services Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial dealings Join us in delivering exceptional automotive care by combining technical expertise with outstanding customer service.
