This position is essential in helping customers maintain their vehicles' longevity and safety through timely and efficient service. The Lube Technician will work closely with customers to understand their vehicle needs and provide expert recommendations for additional maintenance services. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to prevent vehicle damage and ensure a high-quality service experience. Ultimately, the Lube Technician contributes to customer satisfaction and retention by delivering reliable, professional, and friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and lubrication procedures. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar automotive service role. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent. Familiarity with computerized service systems and inventory management. Excellent communication skills and customer service experience. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Perform oil changes, lubrication, and other routine maintenance services on customer vehicles according to manufacturer specifications. Inspect vehicles for potential issues such as fluid leaks, tire wear, and other maintenance needs, and communicate findings to customers or service advisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of used oil and other materials in compliance with environmental regulations. Operate service equipment safely and efficiently, including lifts, oil dispensers, and hand tools. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining services performed, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
