Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to execute repairs efficiently. Service vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure safety and performance standards are met. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating software to determine repair procedures and parts requirements. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics in compliance with dealership or service center protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven experience as an automotive technician with dealership or independent shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and diesel engines. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance protocols. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively. Service technician experience with auto estimating software is a plus. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service abilities.
