James Ford Inc is seeking a qualified auto technician / foreman to work closely with our other technicians to improve diagnosis, productivity and customer satisfaction! Ford certifications preferred but will consider technicians with ASE or comparable certifications.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose Issues :

Use diagnostic tools to identify problems with vehicles, including engine, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Perform Repairs :

Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems, such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and air conditioning units.

Routine Maintenance :

Carry out regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.

Customer Communication :

Explain automotive repairs and issues to customers, providing estimates and recommendations for service.

Documentation :

Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Safety Inspections :

Perform emissions inspections and safety checks as required by state regulations. Work closely with other tecnicians to improve productivity and customer satisfaction

Job Description:

A James Ford technician must be a self-driven, hardworking individual. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work efficiently and effectively, contributing to the success of the service department. This individual will report directly to the service manager.

Responsibilities:

Technician will cater to the specific needs of each repair order efficiently and accurately, within dealership and factory requirements Diagnose malfunctions, as well as perform the necessary repairs for them Perform vehicle repairs within their current capability/skill level Perform in-depth examination of any vehicle to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended Clearly document and record work that is performed on the repair order Effectively communicate with the service manager or advisor when adjustments and additional work is needed Road test vehicles when required Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service manager

Qualifications or Requirements:

5+ years experience as an Automotive Technician Ford Certifications preferred Diesel / Transmission certifications a plus Valid driver's license High school diploma or Industry certification equivalent required Technician must have strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position

Full-time Pay:

55.00 - $75.00 per hour plus bonus (plan based on qualifications and experience)
