TRAILER TECHNICIAN JOB POSTING

The Trailer Technician (Mobile) is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on commercial trailers Diagnose and repair trailer systems including: Air brake systems Suspension systems Electrical and lighting systems ABS systems Landing gear Wheel-end components Doors, roofs, floors, and side panels Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed Replace damaged or worn parts and components Complete work orders accurately and document repairs performed Communicate repair recommendations and findings to service advisors and management Operate shop equipment and tools safely and effectively Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain technical proficiency What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (this is a safety sensitive position) Previous trailer repair experience preferred including: air brake systems and electrical diagnostics DOT inspection certification preferred Provide your own tools Experience working on Thermo-King. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting Ability to work in varying weather conditions and shop environments Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various shop conditions Why RWC?
